Do the doctors only give injections or do they prescribe medications as well?

We are a comprehensive clinic, however we will help you cut the ties to your medicine. Many people do not realize that while pain medications reduce pain for a few hours, the body recoils from its effects and makes you more sensitive to all pain. This illusion of benefit makes people totally dependant on continuing their medications for life. Sadly, the longer you take opioids, the less benefit they provide and the more sensitive you become. Everyone says “I only take it when I need it,” but they don’t realize that the opioids create a false sense of need and generate pain that is greater than what your body would have otherwise felt without. We will help you taper that dependency, and think of opioids as emergency use medicine not maintenance medicine.

Do I need a referral from my primary care physician to be seen?

Yes and no. We will need a referral if you plan to utilize your commercial insurance for payment. If you are entering any of our comprehensive regenerative programs, we can see you immediately.

What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept cash, checks, credit cards, or CareCredit (hyperlink), and many forms of insurance. Because we are a medically-supervised clinic, all of our programs are eligible for your Health Savings Account (HSA) or Flexible Savings Account (FSA).

Will I get the same medicine that my current doctor prescribes?

We cannot guarantee any specific medications. Our doctors are trained to give you the best treatment and will prescribe the medication(s) they believe will help treat the source of your pain.

Do I need to fast for an injection?
No, it is not necessary to fast for any of our injections unless you need anesthesia (which for most treatments you do not).
Do I need a driver when I have injections?

Yes, most injections will need a driver.

How long does my first visit last?

Be prepared to spend up to 1.5 to 2 hours at your first visit. We strive for thoroughness which can take more time since we want to collect all the information about your health. It will help speed things to have your medical history, any imaging CDs (MRI, CT, X-rays), or surgery notes with you.

Will I see a doctor on my first visit?

Yes, on your first visit you will see the doctor.

Can I be seen in the satellite clinics for my first visit?

Your first visit will be at our Lexington location but your follow-up can be at our satellite office in Corbin if that is closer to your home.
